Melexis Time-of-Flight (TOF) automotive 3-D image sensor was analyzed with Cadence® Voltus™-Fi Solution to visualize the electro migration on the power line. The sensor features 320x240 pixels resulting in a complex power routing system. During exposure time a high supply current is drawn for a short period of time which can be up to 1A in worst case conditions. The tool helps to find EM violations due to weak or thin metal routing in the layout. This helps to improve the layout to make it more robust against the EM which in turn the device passed the automotive qualifications. For more information on Voltus Fi visit:
