The Gujarat government has announced a steep salary hike of 3% for at least 9.61 lakh employees. They get to benefit from the increase in salary allowance. The government has accepted most of the demands of the employees, including considering them on the regular job from the first day of their joining rather than the current practice of five-year compulsory fixed-pay job.
