July 20th, 2019 -- For my 111th outing of this year, I went back to New Jersey, in search of the elusive American Pickerel!

Note that this video portrays PROTECTED species of fish in the state of New Jersey. As a disclaimer, anglers should not specifically target protected species of fish! If they are caught by accident, the angler should release them IMMEDIATELY.

Reel: Shimano Sedona FI 500 model ( & Shimano Alivio, 2500 model (
Line: Berkley Vanish 100% Fluorocarbon, 4lbs test line ( Power Pro Spectra, Vermillion Red, 30lbs test line (
Bait/lures: Dropper-Loop rig with a size 18 Mustad Hook ( above a Mythic Lures Drop-Shot weight ( split-shot rig with a size 18 Mustad Hook, under a Water Gremlin removable split-shot ( and some type of Floating Jerkbait (it was in my old tackle box). For bait, pieces of worm.
