Answering a question at the July 21, 2019 NDP Vancouver-Centre All-Candidates panel on what will be done to protect our waters and our environment. We need to hold corporations and business accountable for their impact on our society, on oir climate, and on our environment.
The Mout Pulley mine disaster, the Trans Mountain Pipeline, and Nestle water plant near Hope, BC are local examples here in British Columbia of corporations causing possibly irreparable harm to our society for business projects that are just not worth the risk or the impact to our environment.
If projects are not in our best interest or those of our children or future generations, they should not be allowed.
