Scattered thunderstorms capable of very large hail, intense wind gusts and perhaps a couple of tornadoes will be possible across portions of west-central into northeastern Montana this afternoon and evening. Other severe storms with damaging winds will be possible over the Wisconsin/Illinois vicinity.

Only minor adjustments were made to the prior outlook based entirely on convective trends.
1) Reduced severe probabilities in wake of a squall line over
WI/MN/IA and northern MS due to the stabilizing effects of convective overturning.
2) Added a small 5-percent hail highlight over western ME to account for a few stronger storms capable of marginally severe hail this afternoon.
