Credit Link---- AUTHORITIES arrested on Sunday, August 4, four suspects who stole P13 million worth of items from a condominium unit in Quezon City.
The suspects were identified as Jimwell Bondoc, 27, Eric Eulogio, 44, Pierre Lance Lansang, 28, and April Kyle Gonzales.
They were charged with robbery, violation of Republic Act 10591 or Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition, and violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director Joselito Esquivel said the suspects were arrested after a certain Bernard Cloma complained that his unit in a condominium in Mother Ignacia in Quezon City was robbed.
Designer bags, shoes and luxury watches amounting to around P13 million were allegedly stolen.
Cloma said he found out that the items were missing at around 1:56 a.m. of July 28, 2019.
Esquivel said the security guard of the condominium unit revealed during investigation his suspicion about Bondoc, who rented two units there from July 19 to 20 and July 25 to 27.
The security guard said Bondoc was fetched by a red sedan before the theft was discovered.
The police traced the vehicle to a certain Dennis Co, who said during an interview with the police that Bondoc left assorted wristwatches, jewelry and bags for safekeeping.
Bondoc was located in Paradise Hotel in Tomas Morato and yielded a caliber 9mm pistol with nine (9) ammunition tucked on his waist during his arrest.
“He then led the team to his room where police operatives saw Eric Eulogio and April Kyle Gonzales engaging in a shabu session,” said Esquivel.
A caliber 45 Armscor with seven ammunition and a spare magazine with six ammunitions were seized from Eulogio.
Bondoc then tagged Lansang, who was arrested in Co’s house.
“During the confrontation, Cloma positively identified the wristwatch and shoes worn by Lansang, belt bag worn by Bondoc, and the recovered wristwatches, shoes and bags as among the stolen items in his unit,” said Esquivel. (SunStar Philippines)
