Coping skills are ways we can learn to manage internal and external stressors. They are things we can do to reduce the impact (long and short term) of stress. Most people who experience stress try a variety of strategies that either work or don't work. Some just give up and resort to using destructive means to self-sooth.
In this lighthearted video, I discuss a few coping skills and holistic, drug-free coping skills you may find helpful.

Some science on teas:
1. "All tea is made from the leaves of the tea plant, Camellia sinensis. Six main types of tea are produced – white, yellow, green, oolong, black and post-fermented. Each type of tea has a unique aroma, taste and visual appearance. In Western countries, green and black tea are more commonly known. The distinctive flavours of these teas are created by their different chemical compositions.
-"Tea contains lots of different chemicals, but the main ones associated with the taste, aroma and health effects of tea are polyphenols – mainly flavonoids. The plant produces these chemicals not for our benefit but to help the plant fight against predators and stress."
