Makeup for Mature Women | Step 2: Foundation – New Lightweight Formulations that Make Your Skin Glow

Makeup for Mature Women | Step 2: Foundation – New Lightweight Formulations that Make Your Skin Glow In this video, we go through the stages of makeup application for older women.

In our first video, we discussed primer and now we will cover foundation. There are a lot of different foundations in the market and the first thing makeup artist Ariane Poole does is to help us navigate the options.

See the other videos in this series here:

Ariane then applied my foundation, starting at center of the face and applying it right underneath the eyes but not on the eyelids. She stopped about one inch before my jawline.

Ariane advices that you apply foundation first and add concealer at the end of your makeup application. She also shows how with layering, age spots can be covered quite easily with almost all of the foundation choices.

To wrap up the foundation video, Ariane’s key message is that foundation creates and sets a palette for all the other fun colour products that follow like blush, eyes and lips. She also reminds us that makeup should be fun and not be taken all that seriously! Concealer is next!
