Following an SABC expose, the Gauteng Education Department has ordered an audit into the establishment of illegal schools in the province. Last week SABC News uncovered a dozen unregistered private schools operating in the backyards of homes in Ivory Park Tembisa. Since then, the Department of Education says it has uncovered 20 more of these types of schools. The Gauteng MEC for education and youth development, Panyaza Lesufi joins us.
