Harriet & M15 were perched above the nest when I arrived this morning. Both dropped separately into the nest and M15 even shimmied down (pressed his chest down) on the nest once, perhaps 'testing' the lay of the future nest bowl already. They quietly watched their territory and M15 added one stick to the nest before flying south and out of sight just before sunrise. Harriet flew south 10 minutes later. I stopped by yonder pond and saw there has been more land clearing for the new single family home community. Remember Harriet and her first mate, Ozzie, had been through construction across the road before when the shopping center was built and I'm hopeful she and M15 will adapt this time also. Thank you SWFEC, hosted by Dick Pritchett Real Estate, for providing & maintaining such suitable trees & environment for this Bald Eagle Family. www.SWFLEagleCam.com Thank you to Eagle Landing for allowing me to film on their premises a distance from the nest site.
