This music video was made for Tori Kelly’s new song, “Until I Think of You”. Many people wonder why I post so many songs about a need for strength and healing. It’s because I have known so much brokenness and sadness. Yet I also know where my help comes from; it comes from the Lord. Most of us have had the feeling that life’s walls are closing in around us. The lyrics of this song describe many of the thoughts and feelings of depression, disillusionment, discouragement and brokenness. Yet DURING AND THROUGH all of that, Jesus is the one who is with us at all times. We just need to realize that fact, and remember it. Sometimes we might FEEL alone, that is until we think of Jesus.
One of my all-time favorite scriptures captures this perfectly:
“My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.” (Psalm 119:50) The Lord's promises are contained in His Word, and His covenant with us. He will never leave us or forsake us.
