'I'd rather be dead than ask for a delay': Boris Johnson's speech after Commons defeat The prime minister delivered a speech at a police training centre in Yorkshire on Thursday after a triple defeat in the Commons earlier this week. Johnson said he ‘hates banging on about Brexit’ and would rather ‘die in a ditch’ than request an article 50 extension in October. This was the PM’s first speech after his brother Jo resigned as MP.
