I always heard about the crazy drivers & traffic of Manila. Living in the LA area, S. California, traffic is normal for me, I'm used to it. Manila traffic & driving takes it to another level of craziness. For example: u may have a green light, but u can't move because there's still 3 lanes of cross traffic cars in the intersection; unless u move forward & cut em off & physically interject ur vehicle u won't be going anywhere. The solid block of bumper to bumper cars will continue, until u interject & create ur own solid block of bumper to bumper cars going in ur direction. This takes aggressive driving to a new level, u have to be aggressive & take the initiative, else u'll be forever stuck & pissing off everyone behind u. Traffic lights & signs r token signal to the drivers; doesn't seem like anyone follows them. The rule of thumb is; aggressive initiative driving & follow that ebb & flow; meaning if the vehicle in front of u moves, u move with him, I mean bumper close u move with him, to not allow any space for cross traffic to cut u off, & the cars behind u will stick bumper close to u. So it's an ebb & flow of walls of cars cutting each other off. U have to maintain 100% focus at all times; ur surrounded by aggressive drivers, so u have to drive the same way lol.
