Mini pitas for Sheba? NOT!

Mini pitas for Sheba? NOT! As long as it all goes as planned, we get a delicious food. But this day our Ninja kitty AKA Sheba had other plans...

Homemade, home (machine) ground whole wheat pitas. We used to make 8" ones, but found 3" much more useful. Plus we figured out freezing the rolled dough, right away makes process quicker. Noise in background is Mr. Maker replacing backdoor wood with plastic.

First clip is from 2/19, during a delivery of logs. This is full video. @ 1:36 is when footage was taken;

Mini pitas are great for sandwiches, hamburgers & as pizzas. We like them to puff, so they can be cut in ½. Bigger ones cooked too hard & didn't bend well. Sometimes mini pitas get overdone too & our dog loves them. However, we're committed to keeping it a grain free diet, so bread treats are NOT often.

From frozen dough discs take about an hour to thaw & rise. That's when the Sheba prints happened. 3 mins in preheated pizza oven, then placed in upper section to finish. This is similar to what we bought 60% off @ Target

ometimes I try to flip & bake other side for 2 minutes in pizza oven, but usually forget. A timer helps. We only make 6-8 @ a time, during breakfast, lunch or dinner prep.
