Counting of votes for the Maharashtra assembly elections results, Haryana assembly elections results and results for the by-elections in 51 assembly seats and 2 Lok Sabha seats across 18 states has started. Early trends show BJP is leading in both Haryana and Maharashtra. 288 Maharashtra Assembly seats went to polls on October 21 in a contest that was restricted between the alliances of BJP and Shiv Sena on one side and Congress-Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on the other. Exit polls have predicted another clean sweep for the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance. India Today-Axis My exit poll for the 2019 Maharashtra assembly elections has predicted 166 seats for the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance while the Congress-NCP alliance is expected to get 72-90 seats out of the 288 seats in the Maharashtra Assembly. Haryana also went to polls on October and elections were held for 90 assembly seats in Haryana. The Haryana Assembly election was a tough contest between the Manohar Lal Khattar-led BJP, which is seeking a re-election, and Congress and smaller parties. Most exit polls have predicted a clean sweep for BJP in Haryana while the India Today-Axis My India poll has predicted a hung assembly with BJP and Congress expected to win around 30-40 seats each.
