Being away from the presence of God is going to be a punishment altogether, plus being on the hook for your sins, plus the Lake of Fire. All this can be AVOIDED by the CROSS and its gospel of grace when we simply repent and believe 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4 for the forgiveness of sins!
