In times of immediate responses and connection 24 hours a day, talking about long-term transformation is a risk! But… we believe you can (and must!) dream big, and make a daily effort to get better every day. This is our mission - seeing you speaking English and being a Leader wherever you go. "The 5 Essential People Skills" was written by Dale Carnegie and its goal is to improve your people skills. In other words, to improve your relationships at work and at home.
Last class we studied 2 elements to maximize assertive curiosity in business:
Element 1: Frequent Contact
Element 2: Time Management
There are two final elements we'll study now: seek help from management and goal setting. "As a manager, you have primary responsibility for being assertively curious about your team and for improving and expanding their skills". You also need help and when you open this possibility for your upper management they will start seeing themselves as educators, not just as bosses.
Element 4 is goal setting, which Dale also defines as "asking the right questions". Ask yourself about your interests, get to know yourself and encourage your coworkers to do the same. Next, ask how these passionate interests can find applications in the workplace. "How can your interests benefit the company's profitability, which will advance your own career in the process?
