Chanel Miller on her decision to come forward

Chanel Miller is the author of a new memoir called “Know My Name.” You might have previously known her as “Emily Doe,” the survivor of a sexual assault on Stanford’s campus. She made headlines for the statement she read at the sentencing hearing of her assailant, Brock Turner, after he was convicted in 2016. We spoke to her about her decision to come forward and tell her story on her own terms.
