Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi's remark on the NRC in Assam on Sunday has evoked sharp reactions in the State. BJP leader and Hojai MLA Shiladitya Deb has question the Chief Justice's remark saying that how an NRC filled with mistakes can be a base document of the future.
Meanwhile, the AASU has said that it is a massive failure on part of the authorities for not being able to publish a correct NRC despite Supreme Court's monitoring.
