Corpse taken to Old Mutual office as proof of death

These women appear to be carrying the corpse inside a bag to show to an Old Mutual official in KwaZulu-Natal.
It’s alleged that the insurance company refused to pay out a funeral claim to the family until a relative provided a proof of death.
Old Mutual has since responded to the allegations, saying they had paid out the claim to the bereaved family
