Creepy Man Tried to Buy My Mom

Creepy Man Tried to Buy My Mom My name is Clara. I moved to another neighborhood with my after my parents had divorced. I found friends in school and everything was fine until the day this creepy man entered my apartment. My had invited him as a friendly neighbor but soon hе began to visit us too often. I hated his shifty eyes. His giggle was disgusting but the thing I hated most was his certainty. The creepy man believed he could buy my mom with expensive presents. She was refusing him every time but he was insistent. I tried to warn mom he wants something more than friendship, she told me he was just a kind neighbor. The next two days I was feeling good. No sign from the creepy man. The third day I was surprised. It was a bad surprise. I came back from school and saw the creepy man carrying a bucket of flowers. My mom and I were invited to a restaurant. I couldn’t leave her alone so I went with them. During the evening he was trying to hold my mom’s hand several times. I was there watching but he didn’t care about my presence. The man was explaining this restaurant was the best in the neighborhood and told us that all the staff respected him. I was disgusted by his arrogance. Mom went to the restroom. I looked him straight in the eye. “My is not for sale,” I said, “Go and pretend to be a big somewhere else.” His eyes changed. I saw the icy stare. “Listen, sweetie,” he said. “Your mommy didn’t refuse the watch I had bought her for two-thousand dollars. Do you think I will leave her like this?” My blood ran cold but I kept my composure. My mom was hurt after the divorce and still vulnerable. It was the reason this man could manipulate her. I had a plan to investigate the creepy man and reveal the truth about him. His intentions were not good. My concerns were confirmed. It was Saturday and I was hanging around the neighborhood with the other girls. Suddenly I saw the car of the creepy man. He came out and began a conversation with another person. My mom’s admirer was standing face to face with the stranger who looked scared. He was just listening to whatever the creepy man was saying. The poor person was staring at the ground. Again I saw the creepy man’s ugly smile. He didn’t see me and my friends. We were far enough. I explained this man was my mother’s chaser who was trying to buy her. My friends were terrified. They were born in Brooklyn and told me the creepy man was a loan shark and a member of an Italian crime family. I told my mom everything I had learned and she was shocked. In the evening we heard footsteps. The bell rang but we stood silent. The creepy man understood he wasn’t invited and said he would take his reward for all the money he had spent. He punched the door. My told him she would return every single present but the creepy man answered his girls have to pay another prize for his generosity. He broke down the door. I saw the sinister face and at the same moment, we heard the sound of police sirens. I had called them fifteen minutes ago. The policeman ordered the creepy man to put his hands up. Our uninvited guest had done enough to spend a long time in jail. My mom and I, we were finally free.
