SAA strike | Fears over prolonged labour strike South African Airways has disputed claims from the National Union of Metal workers, that inexperienced people have been deployed to work on their aircraft.

NUMSA said the safety of South African Airways passengers is not guaranteed, as the airline has deployed learners with no flight experience and temporary technicians to act as safety officers.

Unions and SAA management failed yet again to reach an agreement despite intervention from the CCMA this weekend and have vowed to intensify the strike action.
