Summary:
Meta-analysis investigating factors associated with variability in adherence to Barrett’s surveillance guidelines. The main findings showed that adherence was better in university hospitals and in dedicated programs, indicating that persistent alertness to guidelines is important. Short-term meaningful consequences include optimal introduction and monitoring of formalized surveillance programs.
