CSO’S 14-DAY ULTIMATUM TO RELEASE SOWORE On course. Just about a week ago a coalition of over 200 civil society organizations (CSOs) gave the Federal Government Nigeria and President Muhammadu Buhari a 14-day ultimatum to show commitment to the rule of law or face mass action and civil disobedience in the country. Addressing newsmen, the leaders of the coalition demanded, among others, the release of the publisher of Sahara Reporters, Mr. Omoyele Sowore and others being held without justification across the country. According to them, a mass action was inevitable if the government failed to accede to their demands and that the ultimatum commenced on Tuesday December 10. Well it’s the 7th day today.
