Last night on Friday Night Smackdown, Bray Wyatt unveiled a brand new Universal Championship. Unlike the blue design that was revealed a few weeks ago, this belt will likely be worn exclusively by The Fiend before his matches.The new belt design had divided opinion. Some feel that it is unique and helps set The Fiend apart from any other WWE Champion in history, while others are of the belief that it is tacky.However, one thing that is unanimously agreed upon is that WWE is charging far too much for the title on WWE Shop. Following last night’s show, WWE Shop took to Twitter to confirm that a “limited quantity” of The Fiend’s new-look Universal Championship will be available to pre-order tomorrow. The belts will all be custom handcrafted by Tom Savini.
Although it is pretty cool that the title will be a limited edition piece with each being handcrafted by Savini, WWE is asking fans to part with a staggering $6,499 to get their hands on the championship belt.
By comparison, the blue Universal Championship that Bray Wyatt introduced a few weeks ago on SmackDown costs significanrtly less at just $470.54.
