Kamal Nath government had promised that the beneficiaries of Kanya Vivah and Nikaah Yojana would get Rs 51000 as the grant. But it did not happen so. Many newly-wed couples have not got the grant. On the other hand, the government will now reduce the grant to Rs 22000 which is 4000 lesser than the earlier grant.
