Sowore's Release: We hope the Government is sincere - Sowore's Counsel

Sowore's Release: We hope the Government is sincere - Sowore's Counsel Inibehe Effiong, Counsel to Omoyele Sowore, in this interview with Rufai Oseni and Seyitan Atigirin gives details and possibilities on the bail freedom ordered by the FG.
During the week the Department of State Services released Omoyele Sowore, convener of RevolutionNow Movement, as well as Retired Colonel Sambo Dasuki, a former National Security Adviser.
The two men were released on Tuesday evening following a directive from Abubakar Malami, Attorney-General and minister of justice. The DSS had initially refused to release Sowore who had been granted bail by two different courts. He had been arrested by the Secret Police on August the 3rd ahead of a planned nationwide protest. Earlier this month, he was temporarily released after 124 days in detention but forcefully rearrested at a federal high court in Abuja less than 24 hours after his release. The circumstance around his rearrest sparked national and global outrage. After the court invasion, Malami took over the case from the DSS. Before ordering the release of Sowore and Dasuki, the Minister of Justice said his office would not defy court orders.
