Unsharp Threshold in Affinity Photo 1.7 vs 1.8 (and a Microblur Fix!)

The Threshold control in the Unsharp Mask sharpening control (yes, weird name) is often avoided because of the unnatural contrast edges it creates.



Now Affinity have improved it between versions 1.7 and 1.8. So here's a little demo of how this works in practice. Plus a bonus of how a microblur can do something similar and perhaps better.
