The much awaited Panaji by-poll has begun. Candidates were seen casting their votes in early hours. BJP’s Sidharth Kuncalienkar has stated that he is says taking forward late Parrikar's 'Be Positive' message. Casting his vote at Ribandar, MP Shripad Naik has expressed confidence in Sidharth’s victory. EVM machine error was reported at Massano-De-Amorim polling station no. 9. However, the polling resumed after the VVPAT was replaced. Almost 22485 voters will vote through 30 polling stations to decide the fate of capital city Panaji.
