Over the next 30 years, Africa’s population is going to double to 2.3bn people and approximately 1.7bn people will keep cooking with biomass – wood or charcoal. There is a need to build systems and technologies that will allow people to burn these fuels efficiently and cleanly to safeguard forests and the environment. This is what we are we are doing with BURN Jikos.
Our goal is to turn Kenya into a manufacturing hub for fuel-efficient clean cooking jikos.
