A continuing failure by Gaijin to create content.

A continuing failure by Gaijin to create content. Gaijin entertainment has continued to fail at creating good playable content for its game, War Thunder. They have not created any real interesting maps in quite some time. The Air RB missions are puerile at best and just plain stupid at worst. The lack of real imagination shows in maps and missions where the opposing airbases and ground targets lie in a strait line. Where the value of a pillbox has the same value as a destroyer. Missions where there is no real reason to perform the roll of an attacker or bomber because it doesn't make sense. If all you do is play fighters then you are probably happy as a clam. I play all different types of plane in Air RB and I like doing that. What I don't like is shitty maps with so little imagination involved in their creation that a drunk Russian gets to pass it off as a masterpiece.

DON'T GET ME WRONG! War Thunder is a visually spectacular game, but the mission layout for many if not most of the maps are shit. Think of it like a soldier planning an air battle from a soldier perspective. Or the same with the naval maps but worse. Gaijin entertainment is failing at the content creation game. DCS World is ripping them apart in the mission creation department. Gaijin better step it up a whole lot before they become the next use-ta-was. Shiny new planes and tonks and ships are not what the game needs at this time. What it desperately needs is a director of mission creation who knows his ass from a hole in the ground. They also need to start working on the Dagor engine to upgrade its capabilities to handle larger maps as well as larger teams, and more AI that work better.
