Show notes:
It took me many years to learn that QUANTITY leads to quality.
As a perfectionist, I stayed in my head and overthought absolutely everything. Nothing was good enough. I didn't want to share anything unless it was perfect.
I didn't understand that perfectionism was all about ego. I didn't realize fixation on ego was insecurity.
If I ever shared, all I would see were the flaws.
So I held back. I waited. I procrastinated. Some projects never saw the light of day.
I thought I'd eventually reach a point where I could make perfect things every single time, and then I'd somehow figure out how to post more often.
I had it backwards.
You don't improve by overthinking. You improve by doing. The only way to approach perfection is by putting out a sea of imperfect work.
You can't shortcut the process by pursuing quality. It's only through QUANTITY—a great volume of work—that you will achieve quality.
I didn't want to believe QUANTITY leads to quality. You probably won't want to believe it either, because it involves:
• 😳 Getting uncomfortable.
• 😖 Setting your ego aside.
• 😭 Putting out LOTS of imperfect work.
But that is what it takes. You don't get quality without going through QUANTITY. It's counterintuitive and took me years to learn. As with everything I share with you, my hope is I can help you save time, avoid mistakes, and have fewer regrets.
