Rescue of a donkey in agony from wounded ear

Flopsy is a beautiful donkey who endured pain most of us cannot imagine. A maggot wound which appears to have started in his ear travelled to his jaw. Although Flopsy is permanently disfigured by the scarring on his ear, he completely recovered from his travels to the very brink of death. Flopsy snuggles, he promenades, he eats with gusto and, like anyone who has gotten over excruciating pain, the gift of forgetting all about it and returning to a life of casual good health is indescribably sweet.
