Missing O-Rings = Lost horsepower and DANGEROUS: Tech Tip Tuesday

Missing O-Rings = Lost horsepower and DANGEROUS: Tech Tip Tuesday Safety covers many areas when it comes to motorsports! One commonly looked over/forgotten about point of interest are fuel injectors. We are talking about high pressure fuel potentially spraying large volumes of flammable material (racing fuel) in your engine bay and potentially putting fluid on the ground for your tires to run over. Dangerous to say the least.

There really are no SFI or safety guidelines clearly stated for sportsman level racers, and there should be. From flimsy non appropriate hold down brackets to non retained Orings, fuel rail design and much more there are a lot of opportunities for complete disaster.

Don't believe me, check out this video. WE had no idea we missed such an important and potentially dangerous detail that could have ended terribly (thankfully it did not). However, these orings missing/pushed out did cause huge boost leaks, and as a result had us chasing our tails as we were down huge amounts of horsepower on a proven car/combo.
