Self Determination Builds New Skills - Autism and Independence

Our daughter Braylee (diagnosed with level 3 autism) has been really wanting to do everything herself. Sometimes, that causes issues due to unsafe situations. However, today her drive for independence along with self determination, she quickly learned new skills. Years ago when she was diagnosed, we never imagined she would be where she is at today. #autism #weefam

Braylee is 7 years old and is really making the most progress she has ever made with speech. A year ago she had no words. Regression has always been something that happens with her, but we do not let that get us down and really celebrate all victories whether they are big or small.
