How To Keep In Touch With Professors After Graduation

How To Keep In Touch With Professors After Graduation To keep in touch you are professors after graduation, you should think about what you're trying to achieve before you send the email. If you're trying to be transactional, that is, trying to get something out of it, don’t send the email.

However, if you're trying to sincerely show your appreciation, it is quite nice to get those emails. Emails that show appreciation really do make a difference.

Build a relationship. I would also think about building a relationship with that professor by asking simple questions every once in awhile. Rather than ask for something, ask their advice for something.

Make the email about the professor, not about yourself. What you are trying to do is help them out. Try to help them out, or solve their problems.

Finally, stop by their office in person - it always comes across a lot more genuine.

David Maslach is a research professor of entrepreneurship, innovation, and business strategy, I discuss topics, such as behavioral science, strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and apply these to my new peer proofreading and editing platform. Topics include the sharing economy, altruism, investing in technology, starting a business, and bounded rationality. My favorite videos pertain to incentives, goal setting, and learning from failure to drive behaviors such as weight loss, stopping telemarketers, creating novel technologies, and creating new movements.

Peer proofreading and editing platform

A new platform where you can earn credits by editing other people's documents. Use these credits to have your own work edited. If you do a good enough job, you can convert these credits to money.

The goal of the platform is to get people to 'pay it forward' and help other people out by creating incentives for people to give back.
