Colin : Hi, everyone. It's Colin here at Etrailer. Today we're going to take a little bit of time and show you guys this trailer coupler lock from Etrailer. Basically what this is going to do for you is it's going to lock your tab style coupler so that it cannot come unlocked. Whether it's on your ball Mount and you're traveling, it's not going to risk unlocking which runs the risk of it coming up off the ball, and it's also going to be a lock for if you leave your trailer unintended. Whether it's hooked up to your vehicle or not, people won't be able to get the coupler unlocked to get off the trailer or to get it hooked onto their trailers so they can take it.It has a really nice flush mount designed to it.
It is going to have a half-inch span so it's really flush against our coupler right now so that virtually no one can get in there and try to pry it out. It's going to have a nice stainless steel construction as well. That's going to make it very strong and durable, and it's also going to help resist rust and corrosion. Then we're also going to have a dust cap covering our lock cylinder. That's going to help make sure that no dirt, debris or moisture gets in there and ruins the mechanics our cylinder.
It's also going to help with prevent it from eroding away.Once we insert our key, what's really nice is that this is called a pick-proof system. Basically meaning that no one can come up and just pick the lock and take the cylinder out. You're going to have to turn it multiple times to get it completely off of the threads. When you're ready to unlock your trailer to get it off your vehicle or onto your vehicle, we just get that all the way out, pull the pin, and now our coupler can be unlocked. With it out of our coupler, you can see how the half-inch span is perfect for our application. It really just helps make sure to keep our lock secure.
We're going to have an all-weather grip on the other side as well so no matter the conditions outside, I'm going to be able to have a really good grip on my lock to make sure I can get it secured. What's also really cool is that even though we have two keys right here, the double siding is also going to contribute to that theft deterrent. It also can be keyed alike with your other locks. If you have multiple other each are there locks, you could have a couple of lock, a hitch receiver lock, and even a spare tire lock, you're going to be able to get all those keyed alike so You don't have to deal with multiple sets of keys.It has a stainless steel construction that's going to make it very strong and durable, and it's also going to help prevent rust and corrosion. When we lift up the dust cap right here, this is going to help make sure that no dirt or debris gets inside of our lock cylinder.
Also prevents moisture from getting in there, which could cause rust and corrosion. What's really cool about this lock is that it's got a pick-proof system on it. Basically, meaning that no one can just come in and pick the lock. That's just not going to get it done. When we insert our keys, because we're ready to unlock it, we actually have to twist it like this all the way until it's off of all threads.Yeah, we have it out. You can see there's threads on the end of our pin right there. Then on the inside of our lock is going to be where it hooks onto. Now with that, you can get your lock undone to hook up your trailer or unhook it. It also is going to have an all-weather grip on the other side. That's going to make sure I can have a good grip of it to make sure I get my lock secured even in the toughest of weather conditions. What's also really cool is that it's going to have a nice design to it, meaning that it's going to leave little to no space in there, so for anyone to try to get in there and pry it out, just going to make sure it secures your trailer nicely. Now if you have multiple trailers or multiple Etrailer locks, you can get them all keyed alike just by clicking the button on this page. You could have a coupler lock, a hitch receiver lock, or even a spare tire lock, and it's going to be kind of annoying to have three different sets of keys for those locks. If you can get them all keyed alike, then you've got just the two keys on your key ring. That way, wherever you go, you have them with you. When you've got your trailer hooked up to your vehicle or you're ready to lock it up for the night, we'll just stick our pin through, get it onto our threads. Easiest way is to just hold the key and then spin t
